About Bradley Clarke

brad clarkeBrad has made a career of educating and supporting individuals and communities in a range of fields. As a qualified Biologist, Brad worked with Zoos Victoria as an Educational Conservation Officer for almost a decade. His work on local conservation campaigns such as the Golden Sun Moth (a critically endangered invertebrate from the Victorian Western Basalt Plains) gave him the opportunity to join The Millennium Expedition for Young Australians to Nepal in 2000 as Arachnid Project Leader.

During his 7-week expedition to the Nepalese Himalaya, Brad discovered his passion for working with young people and upon his return, decided a vocational change was in order and thus began a 10-year adventure in the Youth Work sphere.

A decade of working with and managing Federal and State Government contracts for disadvantaged young people, he again made a decision, based on his professional and personal values, to launch his own enterprise, Better Communities Consulting; an enterprise that had a single goal: to create healthier, more connected communities.

Today Brad is a tertiary qualified Vocational Trainer and Teacher and workshop Facilitator. He has extensive professional understanding and training in Leadership Development having completed the Leaders for Geelong (09-11), Audacious Leadership (Deakin University 2013) and Leadership At Work accreditation (2011-12).

Brad now works with groups, large and small, whilst also conducting 1:1 coaching for those seeking a more confidential, personal approach.  Topics are always led by the coaches; tools, tactics and techniques are explored and agreed together.  A few examples of topics include:

  • overcoming overwhelm (breaking down barriers)
  • connecting to authentic self (what do I really want? who do I really want to be?)
  • communicating with confidence (influence)
  • Identifying and understanding my stresses and stressors

just to name a few…
